Situation

The healthcare industry continuously seeks innovative solutions to enhance medical data presentation and pharmaceutical communications.

The goal is to utilize the latest technologies to improve patient care, physician efficiency, and overall communication strategies within the medical field.

Task

To develop and implement cutting-edge solutions that leverage new technologies like AR, VR, and social media platforms to augment the experience of both physicians and patients, as well as to expand the reach and impact of pharmaceutical communications.

Action

Apple Vision Pro for In-Office Experience:

  • Situation: Physicians and patients in doctors' offices needed a more private and efficient way to handle sensitive medical data.

  • Task: Integrate Apple's Vision Pro to enhance the in-office experience by delivering patient data securely.

  • Action:

    • Mapped out the flow of doctors' offices and patient visits to identify pain points.

    • Designed a solution where blood test results and other sensitive data could be presented to physicians through an AR headset.

    • Ensured that the device would be positioned conveniently, near power sources to avoid printout errors and unauthorized access to sensitive information.

  • Result: Enhanced privacy and efficiency in handling patient data, reducing the risk of errors and unauthorized access.

Snapchat Integration for Pharmaceutical Trade Shows:

  • Situation: Large, dynamic displays at trade shows needed extended engagement beyond the event.

  • Task: Utilize social media to expand the impact of a 3D cell display at a pharmaceutical trade show.

  • Action:

    • Developed a Snapchat campaign where attendees could take pictures with the 3D cell display, adding celebratory messaging.

    • Encouraged sharing on social networks to increase the display's reach beyond the trade show.

  • Result: Extended the engagement and visibility of the trade show display, maximizing the return on investment and brand impact.

User-Generated Content Contest with TikTok Integration:

  • Situation: Engage high school students in a contest to generate educational content on health and safety.

  • Task: Create a streamlined process for content submission, voting, and display, integrating TikTok videos.

  • Action:

    • Designed a system for students to submit content and for the public to vote on their favorite entries.

    • Embedded TikTok videos into the contest website to leverage existing content and track views across platforms.

  • Result: Increased engagement and participation in the contest, utilizing a popular social media platform to enhance visibility and track metrics effectively.

AR Game for Pharmaceutical Expos:

  • Situation: Provide an interactive and educational experience at pharmaceutical expos.

  • Task: Develop an AR game that educates physicians while fostering engagement and competition.

  • Action:

    • Created an AR game using Microsoft Kinect, allowing users to control the game with hand movements.

    • Integrated a leaderboard and educational Q&A elements tied to the AR experience.

    • Developed an app with a QR code that displayed an AR visual element related to the game.

  • Result: Increased engagement and educational value at expos, blending competitive playfulness with practical knowledge dissemination.

This is a video of a proof of concept (POC) I created for a VUI Pill Reminder App on the Amazon Echo, where I designed the conversation flow and the SaySpring prototype.
